Things were "bad" if you compare the hype around the 25th versus how sets were for the years prior. But the hype around the 30th is blowing the previous one out the water. I lined up at Gamestop at 4am on release day, and I was second in line for the Ultra Premium Collection.

For the 30th, people were lining up over a day in advance for ETBs. I can only imagine what the line will be for the UPCs drop.
There was also way less product for the 25th, however. I expect those UPCs (with the metal cards) to continue to rise in price drastically over the years.

the main problem is that each pack are only like 5 cards, what a waste of packaging
should be 11 with one guaranteed pikachu, one guaranteed classic card and one hit, the special art energy if there are any are separate from the hits
this way even people who just ended up with the binders or the tins can get something and stop scalping products

also they should seed a complete pikachu pack on an etb in addition to the usual god packs they throw in randomly

There's nothing wrong if there's one godpack in every ETB, UPC, tin and a guaranteed IR/SIR in every pack.

Pokemon can print stuff to the ground but the demand is beyond overwhelming thus printing all the good chases and making them very accessible fucks over scalpers and investors including grading retards. If everyone had a chase card they'll overwhelm grading services as well and drive the price down.

Prices driving down means fucktards like these move out of this hobby and ruin something else.
