I've always been a sucker for lipstick and kissing as a weapon. Like in old style cartoons or ed edd n eddy. Also I love the derpy pokemon with wide dot eyes like slowbro. Also it's one of the only pokemon with actual hair so it's fun to like...accessorize and draw Jynx with different hairstyles, moreso than any other pokemon.Beyond that I really like Jynx's typing (despite it being LADEN with weaknesses) and I had a pretty strong one back in heart gold that made me start to like the line. I think I started to like Jynx more as I realized that it was still heavily disliked by a lot of pokemon fans after all these years. I just never felt like that was fair. I find it funny that Gamefreak/Creatures are literally the only ones to notice and model the side spikes, nobody else notices because they're stupid as shit so they're mentally edited out.
>>59607298Nah, the side spikes weren't originally spikes. If anything they misinterpreted their own model and put spikes on it for no fucking reason. Gen 1-3 the "spikes" are just the dress either being wrapping around the back of the sprite or flowing in a very particular way. Gen 4 someone saw the dress wrapping in the sprite and mistook it for spikes along her side and made a mistake that would follow on forever. Also, the anime made the same mistake pretty early on, too. The Gen 4 sprite may have also been informed by the anime concept art that misinterpreted the dress as spiked. Picrel is official art from RB where she doesn't have spikes.
