For 30 years , the only thing we got about Mewtwo in the mainline game is that " Hey look, Mewtwo is standing over there, go & catch it". The only time Mewtwo ever had an actual story was in the movie and a spin-off game. Its like Game-freak has a popular ip like Mewtwo and they does absolutely nothing with it.
