Old people have always hated the new Pokémon games, even back in the now much beloved gens 3, 4 and 5.
Once gen 15 arrives people who grew up with Scarlet Violet will clown on the new games while Scarlet Violet and Sword Shield will be the good old era and the endless cycle will continue until the end of time.

No, it's the younger "old" people. I'm 43 and enjoy each and every new release by Game Freak. The kids younger than me thouogh? Unless it's blatantly pandering to them or attempting to present an air of their childhood era of Pokémon, they despise it, as it shows them how disposable they are.
