Why did they have to pick Gold for Copycat again? New art honestly feels like a downgrade to the old one. They did a "best of" trainers for her but it feels so random and off. Diantha is a terrible pick.

They should have just picked aesthetic trainers instead of "most used." May works fine. Clemont is good for the obligatory male pick. Throw Sightseer or Umbrella Girl for the last one for god's sake. And maybe they should have made her cosplay Red for the front and center one. Also her pose and framing are awkward as hell, her siluhette looks like a log or something here. The hat twisting on the original with her body bent forward is much better framing.

Fire the person in charge of drafting this card. It should have been a chase for me but since I already have 2 of the previous FA Copycats that have better artwork, I feel like I'll pass. It's probably still the only card I'll care for in this set, but I'm extremely disappointed that this is what they came up with despite previously being excited as fuck about a new Copycat. Opportunity absolutely fucking squandered by retards who think "most used" cards means "most loved characters" instead of "least dogshit effect."

Fair, fair. I recognize that, I actually have the least issues with her being Gold, just the pose is very bad. Looking at all the physical TCG cards of her, she always has very dynamic poses and this new one just looks so stiff even if it's not out of character feeling. Maybe changing the perspective could help, like this one feels better because of how it's framed. Even the "holding 5 fingers up" pose of the non-FA version looks better. I think the card just could have been better particularly with Diantha replaced and the overall composition/pose of the card redone. Especially since Diantha is such a boring ass character who hardly emotes, so we just have 2 boring poses in the same card. May and Clemont are the best parts, and I don't even like Clemont but he at least fucking emotes.

Disconnecting during a match should give your opponent the option to steal one of your tranny tickets at the end of the match for wasting their time and being a little bitch. Low enough of a penalty to be absolutely nothing to someone who just legitimately disconnects during a match, but enough of a deterrent that someone who does it all the time gets actually penalized.

What pic related? If you meant the Veil item, you need to read its effect again cause it's useless against Magmar. Nobody runs Ogre/Comfey anymore outside of grass decks.

I'm running 5 winstreaks in Masterball with Magmar pretty easily. Not that ranked means anything anymore.

Even if you see Magmar coming, the point is to trap them into a checkmate against it. Use a 1 point mon as fodder, you'll usually be able to kill Hitmontop/Bonsly/Hitmonlee because those don't actually deal real damage. So Lucario blows Magmar 1/Absol up and you've got Magmar coming from the bench to One-Punch-Man him. Lucario's retreat cost is literally pointless in this conversation because it gets oneshot, what's it retreating from when it has 0 HP?

It's a fun deck. I think you (and my opponents) are underestimating how explosive Magmar is. You just need a partner who can pressure a bit more consistently in case you brick on Weezing or Rocket Plan.

And he's too slow against a deck focusing on early pressure. Absol can kill it before it can get its 3 energies usually, or at least get it in kill zone where status effects widdle its last HP down. Sabrina can get you an insta-Dragonair kill which cripples the deck, etc. Ray deck is actually easier than Lucario in most cases from my experience. The longer your opponent has to set up the easier you can blow them up. You have 2 Weezings to play with, using one to blow up fake Entei is worth it.
