If you feel nostalgic for the story, just go with that.Ultra has a story that goes in a much weaker direction with the typical legendary pokemon climax replacing the character driven stuff in sm. That being said, there is an expanded dex, and the fights are way better both with movepools and team composition. There is also a bunch of move tutors associated with the mantine surf minigame, with one new tutor per island. That can spice up a pokemon you used previously, or it can be an excuse to use pokemon you otherwise wouldn’t based on getting tutor moves.
