She has the same role as a fortuitous lightning strike and about the same personality to the point you could reasonably replace her and get the same result because Pecharunt is the only actual character between the two.

And with her status as a mascot Pokemon she is also not allowed to display negative traits lest she become unlikeable (but would actually add some much-needed spice to her character) Meanwhile it's the opposite with Pecharunt and the Loyal Three in that since SV is over, Horizons can now advance their stories beyond what is shown in-game and set them up towards the redemption they hinted at in additional material but never elaborated upon in the games themselves.

Ogerpon have already been described as a playful and yet mischief maker. That is what we got from her first episode when playing with Navi. The real issues come from two different reason: This clearly needed to be a three parter and the two episodes were written by two different people. There was no clear planning on how the episodes were going to be push forward together seeing how Ogerpon had such little screen time in part 2 despite this being her arc. There needed to be a middle episode that actually give us the Loyal Three and we follow them before the big confrontation. Instead, everything felt rush. Pecharunt feeling toward the Loyal Three was a nice touch because it show that Pecharunt clearly wanted to be friends with these guys, but don't want to be a villain anymore. A whole episode about it would have been good. Sadly, all we got jib.
