my review for anyone that caresthe good>difficulty was reasonable enough after getting a second usable pokemon, and i'd imagine it'd be pretty smooth if not doing a monotype>character portraits are nice>story's pretty interesting>EV assignment in the pokemon menu is always nice to have>maps are good enough and aren't a pain to navigatethe bad>very very few mons are obtainable, especially in the first chapter. i wouldn't recommend trying a monotype. also this makes trainers feel really repetitive with how few mons there are to go between them>kinda short even by demo standards, you could do everything there is in like ~3-4 hoursoverall i had a good time (besides some first chapter stuff because I attempted a blind monotype on something with only a single mon available besides a starter i didn't pick)

Apparently the cave resonates with the mega stone he has to activate it or some shit idk, he'll use mega evos to uh conquer the world I guess. This is all treated like some epic final stand but I just found this retard in some random cave in the forest so it's pretty anti-climactic.
He had a mega Golurk btw but Sniffles one-shot it. I guess even megas can't stand up to the power of the humble mole.
So V actually never liked Darugis that much and didn't intend to hand over the mega stone to him at all, instead wanting to give it to his children. It seems that Darugis is pretty stupid for resurrecting him, huh. The evil demon starts taking his soul for this so V shatters the mega stone into a million pieces so that everyone can use mega evolutions. This is the true lore behind mega evolutions that Game Freak did not want you to know, kids.
I get stopped by the rival again as I exit the cave and he freely admits to having jobbed to some grunts so our fight is cancelled. At least he gives me the Fly TM before he pisses off. Also the next town is called Salem apparently so that sounds wonderful.
