For the sake of Argument Movie 1 and 16 Meet.
For the first time, a Mewtwo is no longer alone.

Movie 1 Mewtwo's greatest wound is existential isolation.
Movie 16 Mewtwo's defining trait is protective responsibility.

Put those together and suddenly the meeting could become.
•Do they reveal themselves to humanity?
•Do they guide humans from the shadows?
•Do they create a sanctuary for abused Pokémon?
•Do they preserve civilization?
•Do they prepare for its collapse?
•Do they intervene against future threats like Ghetsis, Lysandre, or Rose?
•Do they view themselves as Pokémon, a new species, or something else entirely?
●Anything Else?

Disccus.

I have never seen this conversation before on YouTube so I figured we could open it up here.

In here anything goes for conversation except for one possibility because that's a close question.
And that is that one kills the other.
>>
Feel free to post mewtwo pics too just to spice the thread up so it's not just blocks of text.
>>
>>59657922
And third post.
>>
I remember back when the movie came out, there were people who seriously argued that it was the same mewtwo. It's really asinine if you think about it for a few seconds.
>>
>>59657949
That is the core of this hypothetical after all, two mewtwo one meets the other, now what?
>>
Cool story bro, keep it to /padt/.
>>
>>59657963
Not a fanfiction it's a discussion and its open.
Ask away.
>>
>>59657964
Don't care, seen this discussion months ago. Just because things get forgotten on a bi-annually basis doesn't give you a pass to add in another anime thread on the pile in the catalog.
>>
>>59657976
Go away.
>>
>>59657976
Proof or you're a faggot.
>>
>>59657949
I remember that, it was just hyper autistic tripling down on the idea that it's impossible for there to be more than one Mewtwo in lore so it HAS to be the same one.
>>
Really, nothing?
>>
>>59657922
Most of the time, all the arguments I saw about Mewtwo having more than one of his species was that the second one was a woman, and the only difference was that the one in M16 was less murderous and had more round eyes.
That's the only difference.

>Put those together and suddenly the meeting could become:
•Do they reveal themselves to humanity?
Why would they? Mewtwo wanders alone most of the time, trying to understand being alive (welcome to the club, pal.)
•Do they guide humans from the shadows?
The one in M1 tried to take over humanity.
•Do they create a sanctuary for abused Pokémon?
Isn't that what the one in M16 did?
•Do they preserve civilization?
Most humans and Pokémon already do that.
•Do they prepare for its collapse?
The first Mewtwo almost does that.
•Do they intervene against future threats like Ghetsis, Lysandre, or Rose?
Different region. But is weird that Mega Mewtwo didn't interviened. She probably didn't wanted any problems. Relatable.
•Do they view themselves as Pokémon, a new species, or something else entirely?
They see themselves as Pokémon, and humans as lesser. And they have a good point about that.
●Anything Else?
I want to fuck Y Mega Mewtwo in her chinese outfit.
>>
Two Mewtwo meet.
They probably don't immediately fight because both are highly intelligent and capable of communication.
If they communicate, they exchange experiences.
Exchanging experiences alters future behavior.
Altered behavior changes interactions with humans and Pokémon.
Those interactions compound over decades.
Long-lived actors create institutions.
Institutions alter civilization.

How we get this line of actions is the part of the discussion I presume is what OP is looking for.
>>
They meet and have a long emotional encounter and get married, but then Lt. Surge shows up to the wedding and shoots both those cloned freaks in the head while their guard is down and it cuts to Giovanni smoking a cigar in the dark
>>
>>59657922
Side note: is the legends za Mewtwo supposed to be the pokemon village Mewtwo or is it a third Mewtwo also made by Team Flare?
>>
>>59659522
Hard to determine, but it doesn't look like the case given their obsession with Zygard.
Mewtwo, especially Kanto Metwo, is uncontrollable to their designs.
Likely this is Kanto Metwo but the world building of ZA is so nebulous and detatched; Lumiouse City might as well be a space station high above the pokeworld.
>>
Bump for bed but I doubt this will progress any further.
>>
>>59659522
>>59659561
The one in ZA is the same from XY which going by what Mable tells you implies it's the one from Kanto.
>"See, Mewtwo is a Pokémon created by a scientist who was conducting research on Pokémon DNA."
>"When we heard it had been spotted in Kalos's Unknown Dungeon, we went and caught it."
>"Honestly, we still don't know why Mewtwo had even shown up in the Kalos region."
The ZA lore is that Team Flare caught Mewtwo and planned to use its power for the Ultimate Weapon, but they couldn't get it to mega evolve and it went into hibernation until Paxton/Harmony shows up.
I don't know why the fanbase concluded that Mewtwo being in Kalos had to mean it was a different one from the one in Kanto. Maybe because of the Genesect movie and unlike every other legendary from gen 1-5 you couldn't catch it anywhere other than where it was first introduced.

Hyper autistic boy means hyper autistic girl.
That's not a harmonic match that's Mozart and The Whale

OP means the ashnime. In the games there's one Mewtwo.

>I don't know why the fanbase concluded that Mewtwo being in Kalos had to mean it was a different one from the one in Kanto.
A poketuber said it.
>>
don't like that mewtwo has become increasingly lighter purple
>>
>>59659522
PLZA states that theirs only one Mewtwo made as all equiptment leading to their creation are destroyed and their creator lived the rest of his life running a Pokémon ophanage.
>>
I should note that m16 Mewtwo was supposed to be m1 Mewtwo, but issues regarding Shudo's estate force them to create a new one instead. Once they settle it out for the first movie remake, they retcon it to be the same Pokémon as lore dictates that only one exist; making the prequel episode and the M16 Mewtwo non-canon.

Granted if M16 does exist, they retcon it to be green and the reason why Dr. Fuji's still alive with no memory nor knowledge about genetic research whatsoever.
>>
>>59660741
>M16 Mewtwo non-canon.
So they aren't the same one, M16 one is simply not canon
>>
>>59660751
The point is M16 is canon, but involves the same Mewtwo as M1.

.....you really adamant with that question.
The issue, however, I've only seen the first movie, not the 16th; so I simply can't give an accurate depiction of how two Pokémon of the same species (when there should only be one) will interact with each other considering their experiences and personalities.
>>
>>59657922
>Anything Else?
they sex and make more mewtwos
>>
I had a theory but it may have been shot down

>Mewtwo is open source meaning one spy movie, lots of groups getting the plans, and suddenly there's Mewtwo everywhere
>>
>>59661234
My point is the major pathos of Mewtwo his isolation and existence has been of genuinely unique one creature perspective who had met constant betrayal suddenly not only is shattered but that the other actually has a different way of handling its isolation as a protector.
Them being male and female is secondary to how they would intentionally react.

And I keep inferring that The Canon for this thought experiment is for tye sake of Argument, Kanto Metwo and Unova Mewtwo are both real.
>>
>>59661288
It the why and how though.
Aqua, Magama, wouldn't care.
Rocket doesn't want to try again for such a catastrophic failure and loss, and wants their property back.
Galaxy is obsessed with the Creation Trio, Mewtwo would be an aberration a mistake.
Plasma was shown to have made one, and would actually fit their modus.
Flare would be disgusted by Mewtwo.
Aether would probably try to recruit him to there goal, and fail from his distrust of humans.
Skull is a bunch of idiot kids with man near no resources.
Yell is a joke.
Rose is too one-track-minded
Star is Yell and Skull mixed together hence have no way to create or even entice Mewtwo.
Qartzico is having enough problems trying to control rampaging pokemon then to pour resources into making a creature that by this point is known to have only caused catastrophic loss of personal and resources trying to make.
>>
>>59661306
Maybe there could be some unnamed groups?

Same thing as they always do: rescue Pokémon from abusive trainers and that's it. They simply remain urban legend of a powerful Pokémon that attack bad trainers and steal their monsters.
>>
>>59661329
Always possible.
But like I said, the logistics to try and make these living nukes is very resource-prohibitive.
>>
>>59661482
Very. It would take an evil team to do it and not some random scientist and yeah. Theory shot down.

The scientists in the first movie were talking about mass producing Mewtwo before he killed them all. Though it is hard to imagine any trace of that research or blueprints for Mewtwo survived since if it did then Mewtwo Returns makes little sense if Giovanni could've just made more Mewtwo. And if Team Rocket wasn't able to get Mewtwo's blueprints or the Mew DNA after the lab got destroyed then I don't know how a third party would have.
>>
>>59661515
I think the question is what would an evil team (any one will the will for for domination) would do with an army of Mewtwos. It doesn't matter how they got them, just how fuck is the universe?
>>
>>59661515
First rule of blueprints, always have redundancies.
>>
>>59661402
But what about the next 500 years? After humanity may or not be gone?
>>
>>59660730
If this is the case then do we just assume all Pokemon Post-game events are non-canon? It seems stupid to assume that considering the Pokedex has to be completed, and Mewtwo is already well documented about by the time Team Flare catches them. So what, did Mewtwo get released? Red didn't have it in the sequel so that might track. But then we have to assume the Mewtwo at the village was either not caught (post-game not canon) or it was released in the same vein which isn't impossible to assume seeing as Yveltal and Xerneas are both in Z-A, and they would have to be caught obligatory in XY.
>>
>>59662162
>If this is the case then do we just assume all Pokemon Post-game events are non-canon?
That's the point, either all of the legendaries were never captured as they're not need to complete the Pokémon league, or that they're released after they been captured; The Pokédex is optional.
>>
>>59661515
Mewtwo worked for Giovanni for a while, so Team Rocket probably has samples of its DNA archived anyway. They could clone it again if they wanted to spend the money and resources.
