typhlosion missed out on a mega evolution and got branded a pedophile
feraligatr got a worthless mega with a dogshit design
emboar got a worthless mega with a less dogshit but still pretty bad design
meganium got a mega that, while nothing impressive visually, has an extremely safe design, which considering the other megas that gen is probably the best case scenario. plus it has an actually great ability meaning it sees actual competitive use now.
the closest thing meganium fans have gotten to a genuine loss in recent years is the fact that it suddenly started getting a ton of new cards right when the prices of pokemon cards spiked to the point of unaffordability
