The reason I want one is that I caught a Kadabra (my favorite pokemon since I was a kid) and I invested a lot on him, I've almost maxed out his buddy status and spent a lot of rare candies making him stronger. Only later I found out about IVs and when I went to check his, I saw they were trash. Since then I've caught a max Abra with almost perfect IVs and I thought I'd focus on evolving him, but now I'm emotionally attached to the trash Kadabra and don't want to replace him as my main buddy. I just wanted to make him perfect

I maxed that one out before I realized that their stats were exactly the same! So after I spent all that XL candy with that I maxed out this one. Sometimes the story you find with the mon is more important than its stats my man

But save XL rare candies for ONLY mythicals or perfect legendaries, rare candies aren’t hard to accumulate but obviously prioritize harder to catch mons, but XLs are harder to get and better suited to mons you have no other option to power outside of walking
