Unpopular opinions: HMs are shit game design.You have to teach your Pokémon shitty moves you won't use just to traverse the world and you cannot even delete these moves unless you reach a specific random NPC in some random building.Most people just get "HM slaves", a waste of a Pokémon with 4 HMs just to travel the world.USUMs system is unironically better even if it was made just to shill CHAAAAARIZAAAAARD and some of his buddies from KANTOOOOOOOOOOO!Really, you should just be able to have your own Pokémon use HM moves just from having the HM in your inventory without wasting a moveslot.
