The only options for new starters are waifumon, barabait, and shonenmon (monstrous/animalish starters are a rarity, despite KANTOOOOOOOOOOO doing that and being the most loved trio). Pombon is the obvious shillmon meaning it will be the shonenmon. gecqua is the waifu and meow is the only waifu starter to the shillmon of its trio), and birds aren’t shillable to browt is out.

Fire types have been the worst designs of the trio about half the time (Typhlosion, Infernape, Delphox, and Incineroar), and nintendo doesn't have a great track record with mammals in starter design either.You can't really fuck up a bird too much.
