IS it worth playing sapphire or ruby over emerald pokemon? I want to play NUZLOCK but I don't know if I should jump straight into emerald or play sapphire.
>>
Yes, Emerald is a direct downgrade from RS due to replacing Steven with yet another Water-type specialist as the previous Gym Leader, the same exact problem Johto did.

No, except for a really niche reason, like wanting to do the Contests as you travel across each city, instead of having all ranks together at the last third of the game; or if you're a Team Magma/Aqua fan, so that you're siding with one while fighting the other.

R/S might be better for Nuzlockes than emerald, less battles means less chances for the death of a party member.

Ruby Version was the original Nuzlocke, so it's the purest option for doing one

Ruby and sapphire are harder than emerald, don't @ me

Can someone make an emerald romACK where Wallace and Steven are back to being the 8th gym and champion?

No
>>

Please
>>
Yeah, play Ruby if you want to use Medicham, Mawile or Zangoose.

Do it yourself

Don't listen to them, OP.
Emerald is a direct upgrade in almost every single facet.
Wallace being champion
> A) makes the champion of an ocean based region be a water type user who uses STRONG heavy hitters like Milotic and Gyarados and Wailord, and he uses WEATHER in his battle with rain dance Ludicolo
> B) turns Steven Stone into the TRAINER RED character, secret postgame superboss with level 78 MONSTERS like pseudolegendary Metagross and RERBP monster Metagross.
And that's not even mentioning all of the other stuff it does:
> fight BOTH evil teams, and new magma hideout in Mt Chimney
> Tate &' Liza have an actual team instead of just 2 niggas that can be mollywhapped by a surf
> New Mauville
> Battle tents and trainer hill
> the frontier. The nuzlocke is over when you beat steven, but the GAME is over when you beat PYRAMID KING BRANDON, the guy you save for last
> NPC rematches INCLUDING GYM LEADERS WHO FIGHT YOU IN DOUBLE BATTLES
And most importantly, the player characters are more swagged out with that orange and green.

Hey, if you're really hot-to-trot, you can fancy your nuzlocke around money and make it that you can only use a pokemon center when everybody is at 100% HP (in order to restore PP). But if you're just cool-kid-not, then that's fine too.

i appreciated your post desu

> Slightly easier, but not to the point of being a snooze fest.
> Story beats are much smoother and less bloated between both evil teams.
> Vs Kyogre/Groudon is actually better end of evil team storyline than a silly cutscene of Rayquaza tardwrangling them both.
> Steven is far superior Champion than Wallace.
> Different Pokemon available.
>Imho graphics are nicer for the eyes and the tall and narrow font is much more readable.

It's all just opinion but R/S are different enough from Emerald to still be worth playing.
>>
>>59696512
Most of these are just bloat or are literally available in post-game so it's fucking irrelevant for OP's question.
>>
>>59698516
Bloat? In what way is "more content for the player to interact with" a bad thing?
Not to mention, the only things postgame are battle frontier (which is awesome) and GYM leader rematches specifically. Everything else is main campaign. Name one sorry chump who stopped playing emerald before fighting steven. He's literally the final boss before level 100 frontier brains.
Do your homework, dude.

Nigga, you mentioned Steven and that's a post game fight. Literally most people don't bother with it, especially that he's like 10-15 levels above the champion and there's NOTHING in between.

Also yes, having twice as much badly designed dungeons full of mooks with Pochyenas and Zubats is just pointless bloat.

Actually eat shit and die. Shut the fuck up.
>>
>>59698695
You must be the same kinda guy who thinks kanto is the postgame of johto, aren't you?
Ooh, fun to traverse dungeons!! What a nightmare!! Superbosses, I'll bet you're SOOO scared!
Fighting steven is literally the whole point of emerald. What do levels have to do with any of this? You can still beat him without grinding. Just use strategy. Not that hard.

>>59695724
Emerald is much more difficult as a Nuzlocke, so if you're new to these sorts of challenges Ruby or Sapphire would be more manageable while still providing a good challenge.
