If ILCA don’t turn this around I can see this game being EoS’d in the next year and a half at most. The fact they didn’t do any major moveset changes to metamons like Mence and the rape ape when they got added was bad enough, but them not rotating pokemon out, doing moveset changes or even buffing old shitmons that desperately need it makes this game look worse than it’s already doing. The upcoming Mega doubles event (I.e. the one where only Pokemon capable of mega evolution can be used) is a good starting point but they need to be more regular and/or last longer than just a weekend.

Golisopod fills a good niche as the "Fuck fairies and Shitterboom" Pokemon, and has decent threat potential as a Trick Room disruptor, but it's admittedly run in far less games when you see a Fire type like Torkoal, Charizard, or Delphox on the opponent's team. I don't see it sticking around much when Heatran comes back, but for now, you can have worse secondary Mega options.

This was close, with him being able to do a double detect on Sylveon as his last mon standing vs life orb Rhyperior and Femdee. Fortunately that moon blast was not enough to kill Rhyperior, and the high horsepower did not miss, securing the W.

This was a great match for me because I kept losing to Rilla-Incin before. Things would have been different if he had Zard Y though. I have no answer to that shit without trick room. This team has Megagross and Mega Malestic benched. Maybe if Armarouge had a mega with flash fire I could replace Malestic. Or idk maybe Ychu would also do good replacing the kitty. I havent really thought about it because this B team has been fun to pilot so far.

Well I forgot about the GC this weekend, I managed to squeeze in 20 games and fuck me did I have no answer to Trick Room should have thought that through a bit. Bit silly I got swept by a houdoom one game didn't see the Nasty plot coming and even in rain eviscerated Arch lmao. Lost to both Perish teams I faced which I hated. Glad I was able to scrape past 1600 though.

Thanks. I really wanted to make Feraligatr work because everyone hates it and I theory crafted running slash but I found out slash wasn't in the game. Then ILCA magically brought it back and buffed it and I had to try it.

I might try to adjust Salamence with slash again and lower some speed so Salazzle can outspeed it. Most Sneasler run adamant now so going max speed is overkill. I might have to put on something to deal with opposing Kingambit like low kick too. I put fake out on my Salazzle over protect too. I originally didn't do it because of the rampant psychic terrain at the beginning of M-C that people were choosing not to run fake out.

I thought of Sceptile too but I think you would be better off fishing for leaf storm 50% crits to ignore stat drops like I have with Salamence draco meteor. It's a shame honorary dragons don't get draco meteor. I also considered Mega Charizard X but Charizard doesn't learn much that benefits from crits. It would just be Mega Charizard X that sometimes crits.

As far as non dragon types go Inteleon might be an option. Forgoing focus energy for more coverage like unironically air cutter. If tera was in the game you probably don't have to go through any of the nonsense and can forgo the scope lens for sash or life orb. The other option I can think of is Hisuian Decidueye. If it has scope lens, a +1 dragon cheer buff would give it guaranteed crit leaf blade and triple arrows. That and a Sirfetch'd holding a stick. Sirfetch'd holding stick with dragon cheer boost would crit everything. You could probably even skip leaf blade for grassy glide.

The main problem I have is barely anything learns dragon cheer.

I made some changes. I EVed Salamence to be slower than Salazzle and physical naive and gave it slash again. I realized chople is useless on this set so I gave Kingambit scope lens and replaced kowtow cleave with night slash. I tried one game so far and it worked hilariously.
