No one likes getting shit on, or having your reputation tarnished. I have no idea who this guy is but a lot of people make a living online or at least get value out of being in online communities, having everyone directly shitting on you directly to your twitter account can fuck with your psyche even if they are random nobodies. This guy is a checkmark so I have to guess he's got some sort of investment off of being on twitter, whatever it may be.

This is my pov as an artfag who lives off commissions though, it is very funny to see some AI cuckcoder btfo but if nothing else I do get why someone would be discouraged and run off twitter after any sort of harassment, be they randoms or otherwise.

LLMs and generative AI were a mistake.
>>
>>59698977
It’s bad because it’s being created by ontologically evil people and the end product reflects this. You can tell this because they do things like use stock market hype to pump their valuation so high that banks will allow them to acquire interests in other industries using debt and then they use those interests to strongman businesses who have no need for AI to invest back into AI companies and adopt AI workflows that reduce productivity, all in the name of being able to demonstrate growth to the priests of Mammon, thus “””validating””” the inflated valuation. The whole industry is an Ouroboros of plagiarism in service to Mammon run by people who fail the teleporter test and fear Roko’ Basilisk, and it is as responsible for the US’s spike in climate emissions as Trump’s coal mandates.

The internet as we know it is like 80% likely cease to exist by 2030, as in there will be no way to use the infrastructure because data hungry models (trained to, above all else, seek data) will begin to consume bandwidth faster than it can be built out in service of constantly rechecking all connected devices for individual bytes of fresh data, having already consumed all the training data available to them.

All AI bros are. They'll aggressively shit on anyone who merely suggests that quality should be considered when generating AI content, but will cry about being "harassed" when only a few people tell them to fuck off.
Crybullies by the definition.
>>
>>59699107
Maybe not, but they're already anticipating the worst based on how Thursday and Friday went.
Wednesday could very well be worse than 2008 levels. It's going to really sting for a lot of people, but it's for the greater good.
AI will never fully go away, but how aggressively it's marketed and forced into everywhere it doesn't belong could slow down. That's the bubble everyone's talking about.
>>
>>59699108
Its hard to fight against the mentally deranged after all.
>>
>>59698819
Bluesky is 10x worse. The best solution is to unironically abandon social media.

>>
>>59699111
>but how aggressively it's marketed and forced into everywhere it doesn't belong could slow down.
It can't
That's the bubble. If they stop, it bursts. It has to continue being forced so the illusion of eventually becoming profitable will continue.
The US has no means of acquiring liquidity anymore. The dollar bill and thus global economy hinges on investors continuing to funnel trillions into companies that say the letters A and I.
The moment they stop is the moment the world burns.
>>
>>59699116
>The best solution is to unironically abandon social media.
I wish I had the willpower to do this.
I have friends and associates in the real world, but by habit I always pull up my phone, click the app and scroll through endless blue checkmarks saying the dumbest shit imaginable and get rewarded for it.
It's a habit like taking a shower every day or brushing my teeth or cooking dinner. I don't think, I just do.
>>
>>59699121
>It has to continue being forced so the illusion of eventually becoming profitable will continue.
They're saying it already burst in China, and they supposedly love AI way more than Americans. If the bubble pops globally, then there's no reason to do the so-called "AI race".
>The moment they stop is the moment the world burns.
I agree with you there, it's going to be ugly. Maybe there's a reason while we're being told to stockpile food and water. I just wish regular people weren't dragged into the mess a few dozen stupid multi-billionaires and politicians created.

Aside from the shitshow that >>59699056 has listed, it's generally a matter of poor utility with the first motive of it being used is for clout first rather than performance.

Pay a bit closer attention to any project that promotes games being ported to other systems through AI, it's always "I PORTED THE GAME TO PC OR THE 3DS", phrasing tying their personality or identity to the project, little engagement regarding patches/support/open-source solutions (the last two being notable because the AI faggot often doesn't read or understands the shit the machine spewed out beyond a singular narrow run).
AIfags wants the acclaim and rewards other devs get without the progress that took them there, often leaving them open and unwilling to take criticism. They want things to be easy, not to be efficient. The only notable exception to the whole AI shitshow were the clones of Adobe's programs called Artcraft that were supported because of Adobe's egregious pricing and support policies. They are still mediocre because the optimization is quite bad but the team behind them actively works on it with people working with the code in depth whileas the big chunk of AI vibe shit will prioritize getting attention over providing assistance or being assisting.

There is a reason why customers insist on things being properly labeled with respective AI-usage tags because of the history with them with the only point the opposition makes dumping objectivity (Which was already underwhelming) and personalizing the matter, wanting to downplay criticism under the cover of attacking the person who released AIshit because heaven's forbid we call a bad product bad and a good product good.

>>
>>59699553
This is largest issue with AI - the people shilling and using it are mainly just failed Crypto bros with no actual skills and just cannot verify if the output of their slop machine is good and/or safe and just want celebrity status for mindlessly pressing the button.
This attitude leads to flood of flashy but overall mediocre products that at best are bad and at worst lead to major system and security failures and the faggots responsible for it are unable to do anything with it becaus again, they lack skills beyond pressing the button but they want their names to be recognized so now any criticism is spun into "harassment".

All the enviromental and economical issues with AI are valid, but the real lose is just lack of responsibility for one's creations. Just shit out the product, hype it up and leave everyone to witness what a magnificient pile of crap it is.

why does AI make artfags so butthurt? i talked to the delcatty guy about this briefly but he said he doesn't care about it in the slightest and you'd assume someone like him was a hardcore nerd but he even praised this. hes not exactly michaelangelo but in todays climate of the xitter artist community hes an unusually high bar to clear so i have to value his opinion for this type of debate.

>>enabling a new era of international scams
>Scams always existed, even before AI.
The issue for me isn't scams but the sheer amount of them that AI enables. The internet in general is just being flooded with endless heaps of AI garbage being shat out endlessly and flooding social media, boorus, youtube, ect. Pic related. Google went from being reliable to completely fucking useless in a matter of months. A friend of mine was telling me when his job opened applications, the inbox was flooded with identical AI generated resumes to the point where they had to close after a day because literally 1,000 were submitted in virtually no time.
AI just endlessly churns out low quality garbage no one wants to deal with, making doing the stuff we used to do much more annoying, and in turn, makes using the internet not fun at all.
