Summary of the new PM2023 leaks>As everyone guessed, Horizons was initially intended to end on episode 136, but OLM was pressured into ending the series with an arc focused on generation 10.>Wonder Voyage was written to have some minor gen 10 teasing, while arc 8 was going to be fully focused on gen 10. Navi originally had Konetsu (gen 10 legendary) instead of Ditto. All of this was dropped when the release date of WiWa was changed from late 2026 to late 2027.>Due to all the Wonder Voyage rewrites, they have to rewrite the final arc too, and they can't air it yet because the games are still so far away so the anime is going on hiatus through most of 2027.
