Why walk when you can ride?

>>12584464The silt strider was the perfect tool for fast travel. It only goes to certain locations depending on where you currently are, so exploration on foot was still necessary. Then in every subsequent entry they just let you go wherever you want and it's not explained away why you can point to a map and teleport there like it is with the silt strider, you're just expected to assume the game map has magical high speed transit

>>12584464Any of you played the KOTOR total conversion mod for Morrowind? It's pretty good!https://youtu.be/z14_GA22wRM?si=Fw-kUESfAGlaK0w9
>>12584464cool! this should be aweso.... >its a loading screenthe early signs were there that Todd was a hack.
>>12586136You wanted a cutscene or something? It wouldn't really be fast travel then.
>>12584740Discovering jump rings was a life changing experience
>>12586139non role player detected.I'd like to be sat on the back of a silt strider galloping at 50 mph to my destination while I engaged in archery or spell casting combat.
>>12586151Skyrim had dragon riding
>>12586151I like role playing. I guess it could've given a distinction between using the silt strider or mage's guild transportation. How much combat would you really engage in going that fast? With enough speed you can outrun pretty much anything on foot and it's not that hard to get to that point. How would you stop it from becoming less useful and more repetitive?
>>12584873finding the propylons for the first time is a memory burned into my headthe idea there are these ancient teleport gates scattered around and its a bit of a quest to activate them, on top of all the existing fast travel optionssuch a cool idea to me
