>>12584693I love it for widescreen gen 6 gaming, it works great and at least on my phone with an OLED it looks amazing too. its also perfect for touch screen ds games since I have a built in stylus. for anything older than gen 6 with a square-ish aspect ratio id much rather use my RPC however.

You can totally do it, but virtually all phones have no active cooling so they'll get throttled, their batteries are already getting drained by background apps on top of emulation, and the OS interference will add input delay that you WILL feel among other issues. If you get a modern enough phone packing stuff like Snapdragon processors you can brute force some shit, but it's a bonus feature of options, not built for it; you're better off playing Android games actually optimized for phones at that point.You either go all in on a chinkheld to actually get something that plays decently well or you don't bother. The best advantage you're getting is modern phones regularly having OLED displays and you're simply not getting the best you can get there out of them for performance ratio anyway.
