>>12585342Jackal is a ton of fun, it's like a top-down shooter where you have a missile that you can aim and a turret that always shoots forward. It's pretty basic but everything works together really well and it just feels really satisfying to play. It's also not overly hard, so you shouldn't have much difficulty beating it in a couple hours. To me, it's both better and more accessible than Contra, as Contra has big power loss on death and requires you to mash or use auto-fire (and it's overall just more fun)

>>12585418Exactly. I've seen it described as the NES having the "easiest to play, hardest to master" games. Also yeah the bad games have a certain charm I guess that is helped by the fact that they are still usually at least easy to just start playing.
