Even then, I still agree with you. And in that case they surely could have designed it as a built-in switch with no removable parts, rather than requiring you to pull a piece of the console out entirely in order to replace it with something else. It's pretty weird. But... EASILY losable? I mean once you've replaced it, yeah you could lose it, but at that point you don't need it that much anymore anyway, right?
