It's a blast.Final Fantasy 3: No introduction needed here, it's the first FF with a job system and my personal favorite in the series.Lagrange Point: Late era RPG that pushed the NES to its absolute limits visually, looks almost like a SNES game.
Wai Wai World (1988) and Wai Wai World 2 (1991) — Konami crossover platformers featuring characters from their games (like Simon Belmont, Goemon, TwinBee, etc.). Think a proto-Smash Bros. with solid platforming and variety. Very fun and replayable.Gradius II (1988) — Excellent horizontal shooter sequel. Bigger, flashier, and more varied than the first Gradius (which did come West). One of the best on the system.Joy Mech Fight (1993) — Nintendo's own robot boxing/fighting game with tons of customizable mechs and great animation. Surprisingly deep for 8-bit.Adventure Island 4 (Master Takahashi's Adventure Island IV, 1994) — The last official Famicom game. More open-ended/Metroid-like than earlier entries in the series. Excellent quality.Crisis Force (1991) — Intense vertical shooter with beautiful graphics and effects that push the hardware. A late-era highlight.
