Is it just me or are Silent Hill 2's puzzles easier on Hard Riddle? I played the game on Hard Riddle first and I thought most of the puzzles were great stuff and very cleverly worded. Above all, the puzzles were very sensible. Then I replayed it on Normal Riddle and was terribly confused on numerous occasions by how God damn fucking obtuse and incomplete the hints were. Do I just have autism?

Best example probably

The original version of Blood had a glitch where if you load a save while playing on a higher difficulty, enemies will start doing the amounts of damage they would do on a lower difficulty and vice versa.

This is a myth that relied on the placebo effect.

Silent Hill puzzles are just badly translated

Correct, but it's also more fun on hard because you get to see some extra levels (and get locked out of others so it's worth replaying the game in a different difficulty for a different ending too)

On Hard, I feel the dungeons are larger so more exp and chests from the same time consumption.
But the key change is recruits start at level 1, while it may seem a handicap it's in fact a boon as:
You get some exp from dungeon events you can distribute to your newbies.
There are accesories that give HP boost and CP boost (skill points) on level up.
The amount of unspent CP one can store is capped so late high level characters on Normal get shafted.

Easy/Normal/Hard should have been Short/Normal/Long

I remember how EU3 was easier on hard difficulty, because the AI cheated and thus had too much money and couldn't spend it all. So you could as player bully small countries, take large sums of money from them in a war, wait for the truce to end and do it again.

Crusader Kings 2 is similar once you're familiar with the game.
AI gets pretty strong bonuses, and since your vassals are AI they get the bonuses too.
Effectively you get the bonuses from the difficulty too.

EU3's very hard really became very easy if you abused the system. Like say you're playing as Portugal and you have a meager income of 50 ducats a year. You could then loot shitholes like Kongo and Mali for thousands of ducats every 10 years.
