I really like this game. I wish it was possible to decompile it and port it to PC. The enemy designs and concept art is great, but the technology wasn't there to implement it properly, leading to every enemy being a vaguely humanoid, green creature with all the detail almost completely lost. Yes, the oxygen mechanic was more of a gimmick than anything else, but I still think it's cool. I like the characters and cutscenes too, although I wish there weren't so many of them. It feels like a movie game at times, unfortunately. It was all but forgotten for a long time until the retro gaming boom. Most popular classic RE streamers played, which say what you will, did bring attention to it for a lot of people. It's failiure was also tied to the Sega Saturn exclusivity and limited release, which is a story in itself.
It's one of the first Saturn games I bought, I like it a lot but it has issues, the most important one being how easy it is due to supplies being infinite
>>12590062It's a decent but easy RE cloneSad that most people only know it because of the laughably bad voice acting
>>12590090I actually think it was intentional in this case.
>>12590083thanks for these webms
>>12590062It was the last game released for the Saturn in Europe
Should I play this if the og RE1 was too hard for me?
>>12590434Didn't know this game took place on a ship. Probably my favorite genre of game. I'll have to play this.
>>12590626It's underwater research facility
>>12590550It's much easier gameplay wise but a lot clunkier. The loading times also make the door animations in Re1 instantanious by comparison.
>>12590062Game would have benefitted a lot from not having infinite ammo and being redesigned into a true survival horror. Gameplay mechanics are not as tight as Resident Evil's but the atmosphere makes up for it.>>12590083Use the damn grenades.
