Difficulty is all over the damn place and some fights are so borderline hard that you pretty much have to go in with specific builds or you'll probably lose. Also the game's difficulty peaks like 10 fights before the game actually ends so end game is really boring and easy.

The battle system is good but holy fuck that game is boring. I never finished it. Heard the 2nd and 3rd episodes are good, but I just couldn't be bothered. That's the only game I can think of.

Rpgs probably aged the worst out of all genres. Same reason playing the original ff1 or dq1 is annoying today but the enhanced versions even 10 years later are up to modern standards. If you wanted to comment on how you don't like it you'd use earthbound as a starting point not this game
