>you will never have a store display unit of your favorite console >they are all between 15-25k>the authentic experience of browsing a store and seeing what customers saw >it is the truest possible gaming experience>it can never be yours. The pain is unreal
>>12591706Bitch you can make this with like 4 power tools.Learn how to use a router, it'll change your life.
What's the goal here?
>>12591706what kind of crt screen is that?
>>12591706>>it is the truest possible gaming experienceThis board has lost its fucking mind lately.
I mean they're cool I guess and I'm glad some people kept them and they didn't all just get thrown out but I really having zero interest in owning one myself
>>12591717bitching about expensive retro shit
>>12591706As with everything good in life you missed the boat, zoomzoom. Stores were begging people to haul this sort of thing away back in the day once they were no longer relevant. Most were thrown in a landfill because nobody wanted some dumb advertising stand taking up space in their house, so now you have to pay the retroomer tax if you want one of the few surviving ones. You could alternatively try NOT collecting useless junk.
This thread. Again.
>>12591706>it is the truest possible gaming experience>Grown ass man playing a dreamcast on his fucking knees with a small ass screen.
>>12591706what's the point of owning this?
>>12591706it's like bitcoin. Millennials who started collecting early or devoted their lives to hunting have scored that kind of grails for pennies when everyone was getting rid of themI imagine living in the US might have been heaven for that. I live otherside of the world and still managed to get a few store goodies
>takes up a fuckton of space>no special console features>ergonomic nightmare where you have to stand to use it>barely decorative>extremely high priceWorst type of purchase, perfectly bad in every way. Not a single reason to buy except hoarding shit.
You are lowkey retarded if you actually want to own one of these, basically just ousts yourself as being a poor slob if you have nostalgia for the greasy HIV infested shitbox in a store, your parents did not love you if you were touching one of those for even 30 seconds and just left abandoned to sit and drool on it like the other poor and dirty kids
>>12591717he's trying to sell it i guess
>>12594665Because they look cool (to some people), they're relatively rare, and people have nostalgia for them (for a lot of people, a demo kiosk was their first exposure to a console, as well as to certain games). In terms of providing an experience that's a bit more unique, I'd say thay GameBoy unit featuring a TV covered with yellow-green film is the way to go. Is thay experience worth spending a few grand on when you can get most of the way there with a Super GameBoy and a CRT? No, probably not, but it's still more unique than what's offered by most demo kiosks.
>>12591717Demoralizing and making you stupid.
>>12594798i've played on a PS2 kiosk before and it wasn't all that special to the PS2 in my home growing up. in the current day you'd much rather just make your retro corner with CRTs and everything than buying this.
>>12591717False flagging to sow discord between the collectorfags and emulationfags. It’s just shitposting/trolling to bring down the level of discussion on the board
>>12591706You'd have to pay me to take that shit into my home
