We can never go back to the 90s and be kids again experiencing all these retro videogames for the first time :(
>>
Play new games instead. They're way better.
>>
The nice part of being born after 9/11 is that I can just play shit that looks cool to me instead of having to drag heckin childhood nostalgerinos into fucking everything
>>
All the retro games I like I played as an adult. As a kid, all I had was licensed shovelware garbage. Not to mention at least 60% of the library on all these consoles was Japanese only, so all that stuff was completely inaccessible to me.

I was born in 91 and I enjoy tons of retro games I've never played before recently
People who don't enjoy retro games they haven't played as a kid simply don't like video games that much and are just nostalgiafagging
>>

>go back
I wasn't even born in the 90s tho
>>

I haven’t played any n64 games since I gave my system away and got a PS2
I’m getting the M64 solely to experience all these games again. It’s been so long I barely remember more than a handful of games and moments. I haven’t been this fucking pumped in a long time
>>
>>12593269
when we die, we'll enter the great Unconscious, where our memories pool into the memories of everyone who has passed before us, and after. you can replay all the n64 games you wanna. but don't suicide or you'll break the rules
>>
>>12593269
But we can emulate all games before ps2 on a $40 handheld, shit used to cost $5 to rent a game for 5 nights.
>>
I've had way more fun emulating games as an adult than I ever did playing physical as a kid.
>>
What's the point? Just to end up at the exact same spot?
>>

yikies
>>
>>12593269
>never
oh but you will, when dementia kicks in in your 80s and you can play them all again, fresh and new. losing your marbles is not all bad
>>
>>12593269
I'm a 2000s zoomer and am experiencing these games for the first time, they're pretty good, unc
>>
>>12593269
it's not that bad. worse when you missed playing the game as a kid and now it is too childish to be played. like spyro for example.
>>
My son is 4 1/2yo and his only access to videogames is a retropie box with NES, SNES and GBA roms loaded and a SNES replica usb controller. Trying out new retrogames and watching him learn to play brought back feelings and memories

I know this is bait, but just looking at those long-lanky legs and knowing what kind of art-style that represents fills me with intense rage that I have to hold back from punching my nice 4k monitor.

> Played Tetris on the GameBoy when it was new
> Played and owned Mario 3 on a NES when it was new
> Played and owned Super Metroid on a SNES when it was new
> Sega genesis model 2 came bundled with Sonic 2
> Bought an N64 for Goldeneye
> Played Super Mario Kart to death
> Used to play NBA Jam at the arcades
> Zelda: A Link to the Past = completed it many times.
> Owned a copy of Donkey Kong Country 2
> Never really got into Tekken 3, because I was more of a Virtua Fighter guy
>>
>>12593275
Fuck off and Die, please.
>>
>>12594571
Sorry unc, but Goldeneye aged like milk that someone took a dump in.
>>
>>12593406
Its the journey, not the destination
>>
You don't miss playing those games as a kid. You miss the friends you played those games with. The effects of the death of social (physical) gaming are understated.
>>
>>12593269
Its time to move on and experience new things in life. Its the only way to grow as a human bean
>>
>>12593269
Good, the N64 generation was fucking horrible.
>>
>>12594223
The infuriating part to me is the billionare pretending his game is "indie" while also inserting propaganda into it.
