No. They offer some twists and unique level design, so they're worth playing, but they're not better.Mostly applies to III-V. II is braindeadly easy, to the point where mashing attack motionlessly against most bosses can defeat them, while I has some unfair moments. Still decent games, tho.

III is alright. IV and V are definitely worth it, and there are color hacks for both.
IV dustman stage can eat a shitty asshole fuck that shitHonestly MMI is the best because it has no slowdown. MMII thru V all have a ton of slowdown. Of course V is the next best because it has original bosses
