Claim your Genesis/Mega Drive waifu. For me, it's Hiromi Tengenji.
Been playing a lot of Genesis games lately, thanks to a thread on /v/ I gave Moonwalker a shot (I knew about but never played it and assumed it was just a curiosity rather than a good game), I liked the game overall except for the Woods levels and the final boss (i still don't get how it works).Right now I'm thinking of beating Garfield Caught in the Act since it's a childhood game I never managed to beat.
Better than Ff4 and 5, easily.Up there with Ff6.
How do I unlock him

A crazy idea I had for homebrew: Mega CD BIOS reads sectors 0–15 of the data track (the "Initial Program" / IP area, 32KB). It checks for a copyright string then executes the IP code, which then loads the System Program and hands off to the game. Game assets are accessed via an ISO 9660 filesystem.Neo Geo CDThe BIOS ignores sectors 0–15. Instead, it starts at sector 16. It also uses ISO 9960.This means you could hypothetically create a game that works on both Sega Mega CD & Neo Geo CD. They would mostly occupy their own area on the disc because graphics are formatted differently, though you could potentially share audio files which is the biggest part of 16 bit cd games. Another possibility that works: When the Saturn loads a disc it Reads session 1, finds the Saturn IP.BIN, passes the SEGA SEGASATURN copyright check, boots the Saturn game. Done. When the Dreamcast loads (MIL-CD path): The drive reads session 2 (as if it were the HD session of a GD-ROM), finds the Dreamcast IP.BIN, and boots. This means you could hypothetically create a game that works on dreamcast and saturn. In this case, you could share CDDA audio and data tables. You would need to segregate the engine, textures, and meshes. So the game minus audio files needs to be under 400mb.

It was okay.
>>12596781>Brilliant 16-Bit Color Graphicsthis is incorrect, the genesis can only display 64 (6-bit) colours at a time out of a palette of 512 (9-bit), in no way does it support 16-bit colour graphics
>>12597540False.MD can change palette during H-Blank to reach 512 colors.
>>12597854>"false">agrees with me
Could it have run on the Genesis?
>>12598480this any good?
My dad got me one when it came out, I was 4 or 5. One of the oldest memories I still have. Ended up getting the flu and was up all night throwing up into a rag that my dad held in front of my face as I played Altered Beast. He tried to play too, but didnt really work.
About to start Flashback tho I already feel like I'm getting filtered by just reading the controls in the manual
>>12596781Had the same console since I was six, but couldn't play it for years because the RF connector got fucked up. Then I got into emulation and became something of a Nintendo Snob, but then I found Kega Fusion and the sheer amount of glee I had with those old Sega games made me realize how wrong I wasGot an Everdrive cart for my birthday one year (even took the time to make a personal "favorites" list for it that continues to grow somehow) and I haven't looked back
