>programming becomes ever more refined, it can do SMB better than the SNES, Sonic better than the Mega Drive, and Puzzle Bobble as well as the Neo Geo>It can now run the full, uncut Eye of the Beholder thanks to new programming techniques and advancements>ever more refined appreciation of the C64 unlocks more potential, you can even race the electron beam across the screen if you want>no modern computer offers this>goes on the Internet>has Unix-like OS>can plug in an RPi and have a Unix overlay that comes down over your screen, fusing both environments>NEWLY BACK IN PRODUCTION in an FPGA cycle-accurate version with 64x clock speedup, 128 MB ram, and multiple networking optionsIt won. Admit it. Even the new lame Neo Geo isn't half as exciting as a 90% functional old C64. Shit you can even get around a bad RAM chip if you're clever.
>fewer ports than the Apple II>slower than IBMYou're missing the most important things these computers lacked - sprites, graphics, and sound, if you even deign to bring them up. Commodore 64 won.Since the beginning of this month there are 125 new releases.Playstation 5 has 24 exclusive games. It came out in 2020. That's 2 per YEAR. Versus 32-ish per week for the C64 even after 44 years on the market.

Famicom has nothing. No graphics. No real sound. No RAM. It's a tax dodge. Cheap Japanese crap.
>zoomers can't handle the sentinel
>>12597284I liked you better when you were the assembly language larper.
>>12597459What about the "Japanese devs used the Apple II to develop NES games" Anon?
>>12597284>it can do SMB better than the SNES, Sonic better than the Mega Drive, and Puzzle Bobble as well as the Neo GeoThis is fucking amazing. Eventually we'll get to the point where C64 will outdo the Xbox.
>>12597483I think it's fairly accept that they're the same schizo at this point.

I would be interested in that Ultimate C64 thing if it had expanded architecture: higher resolutions, more colors, more sprites, stuff like thatTo me it looks like Commodore overestimated the demand, because they watched The C64 Mini sell something like 300k units. I think they were selling presales at a loss and hoped to make money back later but nobody is buying it after the price went up. Those 20k units is all they sold. And that Perifractic guy pretty much disappeared. So, yeah, I don't think there will be interesting new hardware coming out.
Commodore 64 won.
