>trying to play FFVIII>keeps violently oscillating between pretty fun and boring me to tears>an hour of freedom to fight and play around with the systems disrupted by an hour of dialogue and railroading on a loopI'm this close to admitting I just don't like JRPGs. I just past the Timber railcar section. Does it loosen up in the next 30 minutes?
>>12597323>I just past*just got past it was a typo I am not esl saar
>>12597323yes
>>12597323stick to FIFA and GTA
yeah it loosens up like heavy machine gun in your anus
>>12597323>I'm this close to admitting I just don't like JRPGs.I like JRPGs but what you describe sounds annoying to me and reminds me of why I haven't bothered to try any disc-based Final Fantasy games. The wannabe moviemakers at Square did much better work when ROM chip size limits could still choke off their wilder ambitions.
>>12597323this doesn't become a problem in JRPGs until after 1997, when everyone and their brother looked at how successful FF7 was and tried desperately to copy it. play a JRPG from before FF7, or hell just one made no later than 97-98, and you won't encounter this problem.
