Almost at the end of the game and holy fuck is this game a masterpiece, I made a thread a week ago mentioning I was starting out with FF games for the first time and this game has really had me glued to my screen since, what is an ideal FF game to play right after? I still have a few optional areas to venture in FF4 but I've done mostly everything you can do. Also I did play the Japanese version but it was with the J2E translation, the amount of profanity and the random pulp fiction nod was a bit funny but not enough to take me out of the experience, though it was my fault for playing with a bad translation.

I wish we had gotten the US cover, it fucking BLOWS the PAL and Japanese cover out of the park.
