My little sister told me that Soleil was better than ALTTP
>>12604914I actually like this game's story. It seems to be building into the Humans Are The Real Monsters trope after a short part where you're turned into a monster yourself and see how terrified some of them are about being hunted down by human warriors. But the game actually goes in a different direction. In a lot of games they'd be building towards an ending where humans and monsters learn to get along with each other and live in peace. But that doesn't happen here! At the end of the game, it's determined that humans and monsters simply can't get along with each other and they go on to live in separate world!
It's just as ugly
>S*ga game is better than NintenGODThis has literally never been true
>>12604914Arguably it is. But I doubt me or anyone else could put up a convincing argument for it against LTTP.
>>12604914This is better than ALTTP
>>12605287Forgot pic...FUCK
>>12604914Is she hot?
Been playing this on my Analouge Pocket and it looks so fucking good. Really fun game, about 4 hours in.
There's never going to be a Zelda-alike contemporary to ALTTP that's better than ALTTP. Sorry kids, every ounce of that contrarianism teat has been squeezed dry long before better balls than yours ever dropped.
>>12605303She's flat and has no ass. And she smells weird
>>12604914It isn't. No Zelda-like games are better or even as good than the real deal. I'm not even a die hard tendie I only like a few of their games, but something about Zelda just hasn't ever been exactly replicated. There's something about the combination of the design of the overworld and dungeons as well as the general pacing and the way the game feels that only Zelda seems to get just right. I don't even fully understand what the secret sauce is, I can't explain what it does so much better than these other games. On paper games like Alundra and Crusader of Centy should shit all over it they're more ambitious, play smoother, and have better visuals but I just don't get the same enjoyment out of them that I do from Zelda and I actually find them to be a bit boring. I've tried them all, there aren't that many Zelda games so I would obviously like to play more games like it but not a single one has scratched the itch for me.Am I the only one that feels this way?
>>12605515Nice, take good care of your sister.
>>12604981Zillion > NES MetroidGolden Axe Warrior > NES TloZShinobi > Ninja GaidenThat's about it though
>>12605515>And she smells weirdHaha...
Crusader of Centy was a really good game. I loved finding out what powers the different animal combos would give you, and jumping was great.Whag holds it back is the puzzles and dungeons aren't as good, the bosses are fewer and mostly just ok, and the map wasn't truly open world. Was definitely nice to have something like this on Genesis though.
>>12605516I liked Alundra more than alttp. Alundra had better combat and music and story
>>12605516A huge part of Zelda that's underplayed in competitors is sound design. Aside from the low health alarm, almost every sound in the series from exploding enemies to finding secret passages is recognizable from one game to the next.Another thing Zelda has dialed in is dialog. Other games have none or way too much. Furthermore Zelda allows itself to be comical and wacky: the surreal goofyness and gags in links awakening really allowed the series to stretch it's creative legs and expand beyond the good guy with a sword and tools motif while remaining genuine. The next Zelda game could be about astronauts in space and they could still design it in such a way that it's a genuine Zelda experience, etc. Also I think a lot of Zelda games cut a ton of content. Nintendo has higher standards (and way more money) than the people who make aLundra or Crusader of Centy. So those games are more lopsided and less polished with less consistent design over all compared to a Zelda game.
