When I was a kid my dad had a 486 computer that I installed Kings Quest 6 on. It came on a pile of 3.5" floppy disks, and had a thick brown manual labeled "Guidebook to Land Of the Green Isles." I played the hell out of that game and got every ending. It's still one of the happier memories I have of growing up. Well, that's all I got I guess. I just like Kings Quest 6.
>>12604927Load it up on scummvm and give it another run through.

>>12604959Does being cynical bring you joy?A lot of these old point and click games are fondly remembered. I remember playing Leisure Suit Larry and Myst as a kid. Yes they suck by any modern standard, but thats why this board exists, to look back on things with rose tinted glasses.
>>12604959lol no one I guess. I just had a few drinks and it made me smile.
>I enjoyed the only good Kings Quest gameNo one cares
>>126049755 was okay as long as you threw the boot at the cat in time
>>12604964>I remember playingnobody needs to hear an autobiography about playing with toys
>>12604927Its too bad he didn't love you enough to get you Space Quest 3.
>>12604993Are you always this much of a nigger? Why are you even on this board?
>>12605008I'm here to reason with you, so that you logically feel ashamed and kys immediately
I miss all of the silly and ridiculous things you could post on the Internet without getting blackballed. I miss sincerity. I miss geeks chatting with other geeks.
>>12605008Why do you respond to bait?>>12604927My favorite Sierra game growing up was police quest.
>>12605037i bet you miss mommy
>>12604927King's Quest VI was great. I played it for the first time a while back and managed to finish it without the help of guides, but with a lot of saves. It was a very satisfying experience.
KQ6 was based, I got the demo disk on the cover of an Amiga magazine - THE WHOLE FLOPPY FOR JUST ONE GAME! Very soulful game demo, exploring that initial beach and walking into the forest towards the castle. For some reason I never bought the full game (money was limited as a kid), I fired the PC version up in 2006 on a PC with a CRT and played further but didn't finish it. Very comfy game, less quirky than Monkey Island series or Simon the Sorcerer.
>>12605037Ever since third worlders got the internet its gone to shit. The internet should only belong in the western world.
>>12604927Very comfy memory.I gave quite few fucks about it.
>>12604959This thread is 100 times more genuine and appropriate for a retro board than the hourly "would X game have saved the saturn" and the other sega shitposts flooding this place.
>>12605037don’t feed the trolls etc.
>>12604927Would Kings Quest 6 have saved the Saturn?
>>12604975All of them were great, except for 3. They fixed it though with the remake.
>>12604927fuck motherfucking sierra, leisure suit Larfy is for fags anywayhonk if you love pussy!
>>12604959Yeah, get out of here with your good memories. We've got "Sonic Sucks" and "Castlevania Sucks" threads to post in!
best game in the series, hands down.
>>12604959>Who gives a fuckGo fist your anime bussy and play Mario, sir
>>12606069while true it's also sort of just by default, it's competition is 4 IBM games, 7 and 8 being 90s multimedia abominations, and V being extremely cheap and annoying.
>>12604927>play KQ6>work my way to the best ending>CD audio track kicks in and credits start to roll
>>12605008He does this on every single thread that isn't a shitpost of his. In fact it could be a bot even. Report, ignore or become a janitor

>game puzzle involves an elaborate gambit purely to trigger a cutscene not involving the player character that they would have no in universe knowledge of
>>12604927Did you play the other ones?
What's the best way to play this in the modern day?
>>12609473ScummVM. I think it supports both the DOS version and the Windows CD version. The Windows CD version has full voice over, new close-up portraits (with more lip synching when the mouths move, the style looks somewhat similar to the way the portraits move in Gabriel Knight 1) and the whole song in the credits.
