Is it really worth the high price? The US version is absolutely insane but the Japanese and PAL versions are a bit more reasonable.
no video game is worth a high price. especially ones that take mere seconds to download.
>>12605254>especially ones that take mere seconds to download.HDDs are vulnerable, require a digital x86 based computer that is easily hacked, and they still lack the physical goodies and the overall FEELING of owning + playing YOUR games on a real hardware.
>>12605262Enjoy your disc rot and $500 spent
>>12605250ai spamming needs to die
>>12605250>pedo moeshit>shmupwouldn't pay $1 for this slop
>>12605272Thanks, I will! :3
I bought a real JP copy a long time ago and it kept crashing on me. It was something in the settings that triggered it, also the music started cutting out halfway through. This was on real hardware. Not worth it
>>12605262The rom is free.>HDDs are vulnerableYou can get a 2bay hdd dock for $30 and clone it by pushed one button. It is extremely easy to back up.How do you plan on backing up your CD? Oh, on a HDD? Interesting.>require a digital x86 based computer thatPretty sure ARM or FPGA is also an option. Besides x86 are cheap and everywhere. What is the problem again?> is easily hackedOne weird trick is turn off wifi.
>>12605262You sound like a 12 year old gen alpha kid thats never even used a computer.

>>12605250No you dumb fuck just download an iso why would you pay money for a decades old video game?
>>12605250This looks like a predecessor to tranny clown>>12605254Fpbp
>>12605250>worth the high price?no. Then again its the only valid reason why to own a mega CD in the first place. So maybe it is.
>>12605250No US Sega CD or Saturn game has been worth buying for over a decade due to their stupid insane pricing. With that said, Keio Flying Squadron is on the top of a very, very short list of good Sega CD games.
>>12605272>disc rotmy discs will outlive me, enjoy your cloud based gaming.
>>12606015Even if they will, your CD based consoles will not. They all need extensive patching up nowadays and parts supplies will not last indefinitely. You have to use drive emulators, at which point you are no longer using those discs that outlast you.
>>12606080Had this console for decades, you keep telling yourself that. By that logic, computers and drives also need extensive repairs and maintenance unless you somehow have a completely bulletproof super computer.
>>12606083>By that logic, computers and drives also need extensive repairs and maintenanceThat is in fact correct. Capacitors and coils do wear themselves out over time. First thing I do with all electronics nowadays is replacing the caps and any passive filters that I can.The up side is that it feels so fucking good when you manage to repair some broken, high vintage disc player.
