>be Nintendo
>Give the N64 support for PAL60
>not a single officially released N64 game supported PAL60
What did developers mean by this?

PAL60 is good, but NTSC is bad. I remember back in the day when I tried a PS2 game in 60hz mode. It looked so bad I switched back to PAL. Shame the the PS2 did not support PAL60.

This has to be a simple 2000 game

N64 and Gamecube both have fucked up PAL60 support that a lot of monitors and scalers don't support. You end up with a weird yellow image instead of full color.
It's not as much of an issue on N64 since you'd have to play import games to run into it, but the Gamecube has a couple PAL60-only releases. If your TV isn't compatible then your only choice is buying an RGB cable for your Gamecube.

Seriously, you'd have to be so poor to have a TV that doesn't support 60Hz that you couldn't even afford a console!

When the Dreamcast came out in 1999, I had a Samsung (back then they were considered low-end TVs) that could display 60Hz. And yet I was living with my parents in social housing!

If you didn't have enough money for a 60Hz TV at that time, you just didn't have enough money, period.
