Shinobi PS2 is a diamond in the rough
I won't pretend it's a flawless masterpiece, but it's really fucking good and it's a shame we never got any iteration on it past Nightshade.

Thankfully I beat this game after a month of trying sometime after it came out. Went back to replay it again and I can’t beat it…the early levels are fun. Most of the game is fun. The game is not trying to wow you on every area, it’s trying to kill you.

It took all summer when I was like 12 but in the process I started liking the game and got better at it. By time I got to last boss I beat it myself. Good timesOnly thing I hate about this game is the pitfalls, especially when the platforming is awful, those jump feel like you barely go forward in them

Still a great game, but fairly unforgiving in a particular way with how chaining enemies works.

This game was hard but made you feel like a god when you could build up tate and one hit or three hit bosses. Killer music too.

>>12609363He doesn't have a pattern. He's got some rules to his behavior but for the most part he's really random. The most consistent way to kill him is waiting until all 8 talismans are spawned, hitting him until he teleports to a spot on the ground, wait until you hear the cue for his teleporting attack (he does a little grunt), activate a lightning ninpo and kill all the talismans as fast as you can. After he finishes his teleport combo he'll always stand still for a good amount of time before teleporting away, so you have time to run up, kick him, and hit him in the back.

Fucking crazy.This game overall is amazing though, I feel like the really nailed the 'feeling' of Shinobi while moving it to 3D and making it significantly different. There's a lot of focus on platforming and careful, considered combat like in Revenge/Shinobi III. Beautiful graphics and awesome music too.,
I 'member managing to beat the game on hard but very hard one hell of a leap in difficulty. I do not beat it on very hard.
