This game oozes with charm, nothing is overtly frustrating or monotonous, puzzles are simple enough to not need guides so immersion is never broken and the overworld is legit amazing.
i want to take a giant a link to the past
>>12608516i wouldn't say it's easy for a first-time player, although it's pretty trivial once you know the tricks. it's definitely way easier than z1 or z2 but it's substantially more difficult than any zelda that followed it, including link's awakening which was only like two years later. honestly i think it was a great middle ground between later zeldas being too easy and earlier ones being too hard.
>>12608631Pretty much every other Zelda game makes you feel like Link just lucked himself to the credits with how bosses are just made trivial with items you find in their respective dungeons and shit, like good thing I found bombs I can throw into this giant lizards mouth or I found a shield that charges up and shoots a beam if hit with voodoo magic..This one you just play as a badass commando going into the thick of it like a top down duke nukem kill fest
>>12608631It’s easy if you use all your bottles, and I don’t think you’ll ever die again when you discover the magic powder trick on those cursed orbs. If you’re doing a no bottle deathless run (for the 000 after the credits) it’s obviously a lot harder and would be on par with Zelda 1 at base. ALTTP also gives you two different items that just give you invincibility, like that wand to make Blind a joke.
>>12609041>If you’re doing a no bottle deathless run (for the 000 after the credits)You also can't save and quit your game, as that will count as a death.
>>12609045Yep, so one sitting or leave the game running.
>>12608631>i wouldn't say it's easy for a first-time playerthe only things i remember struggling with was the boss of dungeon 4 (too many random shots everywhere) and especially the fucking moth boss in dungeon 3. i literally gave up and refused to come back until i upgraded my sword AND my tunic because i kept getting fucked over all of the random shit everywhere. its much more manageable to me now, but back then it was a nightmare for me. nothing else was particularly difficult though.
>>12608516It was originally going to feature a party of three characters, it suffers from cut content. It's also not the best looking of games on SNES. It became entirely outclassed by Ocarina of Time. These days Oot is as archaic as Zelda 1 was back then. You can worship "soul" whatever that means to you, but it's a truism that doesn't strike a cord with much anyone else.
