It's basically a walking sim with the most braindead and repetitive combat system imaginable. You have random encounters every three steps and have to constantly farm to stay up to level or you will just get rolled. There is zero skill expression whatsoever to the combat and it comes down to an incredibly simplistic flowchart where you just spam the same few actions every single fight. Somehow they even fucked the movement up and there is a huge delay to the movement and you have to hold a direction for a quarter second before your character even starts moving. Story, writing, artstyle, all trash. Literally zero redeeming qualities anywhere in this "game" and one of the most incredibly boring slogs I have ever endured, I think I would rather be filing my taxes or watching paint dry. Haven't bothered with any of the sequels, but don't see how they could possibly be any worse than this.
