What are the odds Nintendo remembers this franchise this generation and remakes it like they did Super Mario RPG? they should really bring this back due to how innovative and unique it was.

Anything else resembling a modern type remake to any of the games, would just be terrible and you all know it. >>12612198>>12612245Mother 4 should exist as a final game that wraps up all the loose ends and does what 2 was going to be, traveling to different planets, and be based around humans finally coming to peace with the aliens whom now fear them after what their evil minds did to Giygas, and confronting/negotiating with the Apple of Enlightenment, who seems to be the true prophetic leader/super computer of the aliens, as well as the opportunity to bring some kind of closure to Giygas and his mommy issues, which would be a rather symbolic way to wrap up many of the themes of the series. Alternatively, i am not at all opposed to just self contained stories set in the world of Mother, past, present and future. I also rather like Itoi's old idea of a game where you play as a detective that solves mysteries in a town, before moving to the next. That's something that could fit well in the setting.Mother could absolutely be the "Dragon Quest" of Nintendo, without it needing to be the ever continuing adventures of Ness.

Mother 2 also originally involved traveling to different planets, so i could see that as having spun off into its own thing. I wonder if the Magical Vacation games took any inspiration from that.
