Alright so I have Swiss on my GameCube to play backups and I’m absolutely loving it. Sixth Generation is definitely my favorite generation. Is there something similar for the OG Xbox that would allow me to play isos from a micro sd?
>>12613767Yeah you can play games from the hard drive if you get a hacked xbox.
>>12613767Nothing as easy as playing games from the memory card port. you have to upgrade the hard drive, which is still easy but requires buying a bunch of little shit
Anywhere where I could buy these Xbox’s pre modded or hacked would help. I’m useless at this. Would even settle for a 360.
>>12613767You can put an ssd in there if youre okay with opening up. You can softmod it with the stock hdd but theyre only 10 gigs. I think softmodding let's you play burned games. Theres people that sell pre modded ones for 200-300 with a new ssd.
>>12613767Yeah this is what you'll need:https://www.amazon.com/Mcbazel-Xbox-Converter-Adapter-Original-Console/dp/B076HHZ41Zhttps://www.amazon.com/Ebamaz-Drives-Indicator-Colors-Smaller/dp/B077XSV7HPhttps://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Drive-Optical-Adapter-Converter/dp/B00EOJNGC2/https://www.amazon.com/40-Pin-80-Wire-2-Drive-Ribbon-Manhattan/dp/B003IDF0JCInsert SATA hard drive of your choiceOptional:An easy way to connect SATA hard drives over USB to your PCA solution to connecting your Xbox to the internetHD/HDMI cables like electronxoutFirst connect your USB flash drive to the Xbox with the adapter cableNavigate to the memory section on your xbox main menu, it will ask to format your USB drive, do so. Power off the console and attach the usb drive to your PC.Using FATXplorer or Xplorer360 access the USB device and place Rocky5's installers there https://github.com/rocky5/xbox-softmodding-toolInstall your softmod.Once you're done now is the time to upgrade your HDD, you can do so in two ways: Get the HDD key (several opportunities, can be found in settings menus for softmod installers, insignia setup etc.) and back it up. Using this HDD key you can build a new hard drive in FATXplorer and drag and drop all your games to F:/Games or G:/Games. This is a very fast way to do things but you can also just get the HDD ready and replace it in your Xbox after installing it with the adapter and 80-pin IDE cable.Alternatively you can use a tool like Rocky5's CHIMP to have your Xbox clone its hard drive to your new one and from there manage the new partitions on the console. You're now all set up to build a library of games on your Xbox, you can transfer over FTP or attach the hard drive to your PC. The direct way is faster but FTP will be more convenient. Next you should get your Xbox connected to the internet.
The best way to pirate on Xbox is replacing the hard drive with a bigger one and copying games to it.There's not a simple means of playing games from external storage like on other consoles. You'll have to open it up and replace the hard drive. Not real hard though.
Any YouTube tutorials or places I could send a system to would be great
>>12614227I did mine 10 years ago and just threw an old spare 160GB IDE drive I had. It's still alive but I'm wondering since I don't have an IDE-compatible PC.When it dies, can I just build a new SATA drive with the HDD key (have this backed up from when I did it) and just buy the adapter/80 wire cable and throw it straight in?
