>kick up this jawn on “””Normal Mode””>basic niggas 2 tap me>ocelot keeps running away from me and headshotting me>fent flake grenades don’t stop the tank guns so it kills meNah I ain’t bout that
the button mash sequence on """normal""" is also fr fr no cap
that sucks, I beat the game when I was 8
>>12614028on god bruh goofy ahh part
>>12613978Filtered.
>>12613978It's a stealth game you retard you're not supposed to be seen or "tapped"
>>12613978How the fuck do you choke guys without alerting them? WTF is this dogshit fucking gameplay????
>>12614028The button mash sequence is hard because it's not really a pass/fail. You can fail and still beat the game, you just the Otacon ending instead of the Meryl one. So the good ending is basically your reward for beating a difficult minigame. And it's not that bad, Tough but still very doable, I don't even need to do the pencil trick or anything on normal mode, just pure thumb mashing. Now the Solidus choke in MGS2 on extreme? THAT shit is fucking impossible
>>12614965my friend was playing it for the first time and asked me to do the button mashing because he couldn't. i did it for him after remembering what the best technique is, and then he only went and fucked up the ketchup strat so i did it again.
>>12614898>stealth gameNot a single boss fight involves stealth in the slightest
>>12613978ever since i learned the original difficulty is easy i always played it on easy from that moment,i had the Meryl ending on normal difficulty for my first playthrough tho.
>>12614968i fucked up the ketchup segment by using the ketchup while under the bed the first time lmao.
>>12614970Vulcan Raven
>>12615118the game is objectively too easy on normal, your lifebar and ration supply outpaces boss damage in the late game and you can mindlessly tank every battle first try. ludicrous that had an even easier mode originally.
>>12615219>stealth is when you don't stand directly in front of the giant machine gun canon and fire stinger missiles at an alaskan indian.
>>12615248Yes? What exactly is the stealth boss gameplay you are looking for?Anyway, MGS bosses are great because they all have some gimmick which makes them a different experience from everything else in the game. None of the bosses fight like the normal enemy guards, and none of the bosses fight like any of the other bosses either.
>>12615254
>>12615261"This is The End".Don't kill him when he first appears in their wheelchair with The Boss.
>>12614965>Now the Solidus choke in MGS2 on extreme? THAT shit is fucking impossibleTurn the camera all the way to the right in the direction of the moon and it becomes much easier. Little known fsct.
>>12614028He Otacon ending is unironically better. I purposefully fail this part because of it.
>>12614965I struggled with the Solidus choke even on normal. Way harder than the mgs1 torture scene. Thank fucking god it takes place before that 45 minute cutscene.
>getting shit on in MGS1's normal modeniggor you just bad at the game
>>12613978I beat this on my psp when I was in 7th grade cmon bro
Ocelot is a Diddy blud low key
>>12614917This
>>12615261>represent the emotions they carry into battle>except for the old guy who is just called "end" because he's old>also he has plants and shitWhat were they thinking???
>>12616008Actually prior to 1964 he was feared by all under the name "The Middle".
>>12615359Na fuck yall
>>12615271If you're replayed the game enough times killing him early can add some variety to it because the Ocelot unit takes his place, although you miss out on the Mosin Nagant and the chance to capture his parrot so in general it's not really worth itI made the mistake of getting too gud at this fight because I played subsintence's Duel mode too much and eventually I got lucky with his movements and took him out in less than two minutes, just boom-boom-boom. Once you lean his patterns and tricks he's actually stupid easy compared to the other bosses because if you get the drop on him and then relentlessly keep the pressure up he really can't fight back. He has to get out of your sight to be a threat again so you just don't lose him and it's over. The first time when you don't know what's coming, though? Best boss fight ever. So fun.
>>12616008He's The End because if he gets you in his sights it's the end...for you
>playing MGS2>"I'll just wait for this bit to finish and then stop">30 minute long cut sceneFuck you Kojima
>>12617356If you don't believe me, go count it yourself, from the moment you snipe Vamp on the pontoon bridge, to waking up on the rack inside Arsenal Gear there is zero gameplay and half an hour of bullshit
>>12617356MGS2 is the greatest game ever made and one of the most profound pieces of modern writing from a mainstream product (not some niche hidden garbage that only 2 people know)Your criticisms are completely baseless and you are less of a human for not appreciating every facet of it
>>12617457No, Emma Emmerich's boring ass sob story sub plot to pad out the game is not the greatest writing of all time. It actually sucks ass and is completely unnecessary.
>>12617486Rose or YOU NEED TO DEFUSE THE BOMB IN MY SOUL nigger were even worse
>>12617493I would have posted about that too, but Rose codec calls has been the only part of the game I have actually skipped through because I physically cannot take it. Everything else I just gritted through or rolled my eyes at, but those were a red line for me.
>getting filtered by fucking mgs1 on normal of all thingsgit gud
Two words.Pac.Man.
>the greatest game ever made and one of the most profound pieces of modern writing from a mainstream product
>>12613978Getting filtered by MGS1 is grim
>>12617358>there is zero gameplayNot zero, you still gotta navigate two struts and their connecting bridge which likely has all of its loose panels missing.
