>>12617203I like 7 the most
>>12617203Contrarian board so 8>7>9 to correct for all the 9 dicksucking and 8 bashing memes (we are correct)
7 is the most fun, has the best systems, and has the best characters.
>>126172037 is the most iconic-- everyone recognizes Cloud and Barret. Normies dont recognize any of the characters from 8 or 9
>>126172037 for the story, characters, setting, music, and materia system
My perception about what each fanbase think of the other FFFans of FF7:Love FF8Indifferent toward FF9Fans of FF8:Love FF7Hate FF9Fans of FF9:Love FF7Hate FF8FF7 is beloved by everyone (with the exception of Tendies butthurt fanboys)and FF8 and FF9 fans hate each other

>>12617938Personal observationMost of the message in this thread follow the same rule :if FF7 is first then FF8 is secondIf FF8 is first then FF7 is secondIf FF9 is first then FF7 is second
>>12617946so doesnt that imply 7>8>9? I'm an 8fag
>>12618014>so doesnt that imply 7>8>9? I agree with that order but i still really love 9FF7 and 8 share the same basic philosophy -battle system put a huge emphasis on customisation-futuristic vibe-Tetsuya Nomura chara design -Kitase sense of cinematographyThat's why FF7 fans tend to love FF8 and vice versaFF9 is much closer with pre FF7 final fantasy games with a rigid job system and more theatrical approach in storytelling On the other hand FF7 and FF9 share some strong thematic theme with death, grief and the soul making one with earthThat's the Sakaguchi touch (who didn't work on 8)
>>12617203Dumb thread, because there is only one answer: 7.
>>12617938>tell me youve only operated at a 101 level in any rigorous field without specifically telling measking for sources is pipette-bench bitch tier.
They're my favorite games.-I'd pick VIII (8) with a knife to my throat, it's like gaming comfort food, the music is good and the aesthetic is mostly nice, really gets my imagination going. -7 is the only FF with a good story, it's better than 8 in most ways, but 8 just has that X factor.-9 was my first RPG. I love it, I love how it feels like a high fantasy adventure. I can ignore a lot of the silly shit. But, the battle and build systems offer little freedom and I can't replay it without a speed boost.-These games would've benefited by having dungeons that were more than 3-6 screens other than the final dungeons.
My favorite is 8. Maybe because it was the first ff I played. Also the world is comfyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YP9in2EqREAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YP9in2EqREAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YP9in2EqREA
