Anbernic, despite their flaws used to make some more premium looking handhelds. The R300x from last thread for example looks honestly great. The plastic doesn't look like most of the devices that they and a lot of other companies make now. It looks better from the metallic buttons to the surface colours. The only weak spot perhaps might be the dpad and face buttons but even they look better than a lot of the recycled 3D printed stuff they do now. The delivery may be flawed in terms of power, screen size and numerous invisible problems owing to the era it came from and such. But, I am finding new appreciation for some aspects of it's style, which I would normally avoid, being a diehard clamshell head. Maybe the space can take a moment to see what they're doing wrong and what they've done right for future handheld designs.

PS1 will run fine, but Dreamcast games are kind of iffy on budget handhelds. I only ever tried SA2 and Jet Set Radio on it and they ran fine with the audio crunching sometimes, but I can't speak for other games. Just beware that Anbernic has been quietly downgrading RAM on some of their devices, idk if the CubeXX has been affected or not. I don't think it will impact regular games much, but some CFW will be incompatible and it limits Portmaster options. If you can find a shop that guarantees the old 1GB model or find it secondhand, I would definitely recommend it.
