I brought this crappy cheap 3rd party handheld because I saw it in stores and it struggled to run n64 gamesWhat's a good mid range 3rd party handheld I should get?Around 100-230usd
For that price you can get a Retroid Pocket 5. That shit runs anything, so long as you can set it up.
>>12620057N64 emulation is dogshit no matter what the handheld is.
>>12620057Buy an ad.Answer: PSP
>>12620535why the fuck would you use a psp in 2026
>>12620535That is an answer but it's wrong
>>12620057Everything except maybe the strongest handhelds will struggle with N64.R36S is fine for what it is - a cheapo retro handheld. It will run everything up to 16bit, most of PS1 and even some lighter PS2, Dreamcast and PSP titles. Custom firmware installation can be bit tricky due to gazillion different screen revisions with different drivers, tho.N64 and Saturn have just very poorly designed architectures and emulating something that runs on duct tape and hopes is just very difficult.
>>12620527my phone can play n64 games fine
>>12620535>PSPI remember really wanting to get one back in 2005-2006 but being a poorfag with strict parents was a no-no and by the time I had enough shekels a year or two later to get one I completely forgot about it, feels bad man.
>>12621039Yeah maybe horrible high level emulation where there's graphical glitches all over the place and it doesn't look like a real N64. Maybe it's been a long time since you gamed on one. A decent PC can do LLE and it looks closer to an N64 but the input lag is kinda bad
I was about to make a thread asking the same thing. Personally I just want a console that can run gba and gamecube games, preferably animal crossing for the gamecube.
