>>12623073Wario 69 finally died from bad crabs and bad medicare, after being a 7 X Megastar. did finally get 1 Platinium album but it took a ridiculous amt of time and more hit Singles to get it. Apparently after a lot of NUMBA WAN Singles, people will start buying your old Singles along with the Albums which eventually bumps up the sales of my Gold Album to Platinium.also the game seems to eventually run out of auto-generated song/album names and start creating names with a blank ' '.only way to fix that bug is to reinstall the game. or rather unzipping the old files (GAM and DAT files) into the game folder/directory. just starting a new game would still give me a lot of blank songs/albums on the charts.

Any advice for a new player? Does practicing do anything? Do gigs earn any money? Should I not bother with releasing anything until I sign with a label?

Should I not bother with releasing anything until I sign with a label?Practicing increases your "Attention" stat which should improve your Gig performances and some random events. but you probably never need to do that,until maybe late game when you're old and dying, and by then you might as well quit and start again.Gigs are only good for money early on before you become a "Star"(get Score: 5000+). after that,Gigs will hardly earn any money but might still be good for promoting your Album/Singles.Record Labels are good for upfront cash payment and chances to borrow more money from them when you try to do a Gig or record a Single /Album. Supposedly they will also help you get more Gig venues and promote your Singles/Albums.downsides: they will reject your recording if it has notty words like "Jarvis Cocker" or you recorded it when your Creativity stat is low or zero. They could also force you to record a Single/Album even while your Creativity is low, which would result in crappy sales or rejection. later they could also force you to record while Happiness or Health is low, which might kill your Rockstar.

Thing is, gigs always suck until you magically become popular. I was even convinced there was some hidden "Good At Music" stat that factored into gig success. Stay the hell OFF the drugs, parties are mostly fine, accept publicity stunts whenever they show up. Of course, I'm only playing on Standard, but I've been struggling up til now.
