I finished 1 and I'm about 1/3 of the way thru the 2nd game. How come no one ever discusses these games here? They're great dumb fun games. I'm surprised the company Kronos made them since they made trash like Dark Rift.

What did everyone else think of these games?

Is conversing with AI chatbots more productive and worthwhile than trying to start threads on /vr/?

What the fuck are you going on about? Did you play the games or not?

It's Monday morning on a slow board, anon. Also, nu-/vr/ is /v/ lite. You're likely to have a better discussion on literally any other forum.

I always liked the art and concept, but never clicked with it. I guess that's because it is much more a graphical adventure than a proper survival horror
>>

Wanted to try it since a long time, didn't have the chance yet.
I'm a fan of Resident Evil but I'm not sure the experience it's a 1-1 match, nice stylized graphics though

It's the /vr/ style of the time. As soon as a new thread appears you try to first post about bots. I dunno why, I assume it's fags gonna fag.

The controls and inconsistent difficulty turn off people which is a shame. One of the best games on the system. I even supported Sedna in hopes of keeping the franchise alive.

Growing up it was one of my favorite ps1 games I actually might haved liked it more than RE and I was an RE fan. It definitely had more style and cooler characters. Its not discussed here because there aren't that many actual survival horror fans. RE gets discussed more because Capcom keeps producing shit even though they should have let the franchise die after 4.

No, they're not fun at all. The combat system is a mess.

>I even supported Sedna
This was the first game in the series I bought, I kind of dropped it because I wasn't enjoying it too much. I went into the first 2 games and now I'll probably go back into it now.

>It definitely had more style
I just wish the cinematics weren't so fucking compressed. The art is gorgeous for PS1.

They seem about standard for it's time, what is the problem? Switching items/weapons is kind of a pain in the ass actually, so if that's a complaint I'd understand.
>>
>>12621316
They came late in the PS1's life cycle and didn't sell particularly well, so not a lot of people played them.
They look great though and I've had them on my backlog for years.

Oh, you haven't touched these pieces of shit and just saw the renders of the pretty ladies, then.

Tank controls, turn around button, crouch button, run button, auto lock on for aiming/weapons, I already mentioned the inventory system being real time and clunky. Why are you so asshurt?

You got filtered by this game?

1 was great as story driven game, story is great, probably one of the best script on psx. Great characters and dark atmosphere. Gameplay is like proto qte but serviceable
2 is awful, like all the late 00s CoOl trends packed into one game: resident evil, mgs, Austin Powers, V. I. P... with horrendous gameplay. Shilled only by lesbian fancervice
Jump the shark The game
