Everyone is talking about the potential Ocarina of Time remake, but this game could definitely use a remake and I say that as someone who loves the game.
>>126230182D metroidvaniasoulslikes have been done enough times
>>12623028Speaking as a fan of the genre, there are few enough good games that an actually good one will still easily stand out.
>>12623034Aren't indie devs all over that genre? I'm surprised gamers would come crawling back to big boy studios begging for remakes after all that loud noise they have made.(Also it's a genre one could take up developing as their first game)
>>12623018What's the point? They would make it braindead easy like every Zelda since ALTTP, ruining the appeal of the game.
>>12623079The appeal of the game is also ruined by being way too hard, your point?
>>12623046>Aren't indie devs all over that genre?Yeah but it's like searching for a diamond in a garbage dump.>>12623046>(Also it's a genre one could take up developing as their first game)That's part of the problem. High budget sidescrolling action adventure/action rpgs are actually pretty rare.
>>12623104What are you hoping to get from a higher budget?
>>12623113More quality. Increased playability. Reduced soulslop factor. And if it's going to be made by autists I'd rather it be Japanese autists than western.
>>12623119Well... Let's see if the new Castlevania game turns out popular enough to turn the heads of investors.
>>12623098Lmao shitter
>>12623149>no argumentI accept your concession.
>>12623152Zelda 2 isn't some incredibly hard game. The challenge is just right to make it fun. Zeldas past ALTTP aren't fun because it's virtually impossible to lose.
>>12623158whatever you say sis.
>>12623158It's one of those games you either need to have played when it was new and could stomach learning how to play it well, or else decide to learn it today for the sake of streaming or speedrunning. Very few people will ever pick it up for the first time today and enjoy it for what it is, specifically because the difficulty is off-putting to newcomers. That doesn't mean it's a bad game, it's just not very accessible.
>remaking perfectly good gameskys zoom slop
>>12623190you lost, unc
>>12623191yeah enjoy your putrid diarrhea instead of actually good games
>>12623236>yeah enjoy your putrid diarrhea instead of actually good gamesHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
