>>12624608For me it's still the SNES as the best. I do like the Genesis original for certain games like SHMUPS and using the claw technique. PS1-PS2 is also good for certain games, and then decent for the rest. N64 is super underrated and when it's new it's great. The 6 button layout should come back in some way, combined with the modern 4 shoulder buttons and dual sticks. GC is comfortable, and has the best analog sticks, but the lack of buttons and analog buttons compared to the XBOX and PS2 put it behind. D-pad is useless. The shoulder buttons with the long travel and then click should have become a Nintendo standard and it needs to come back. NES was the best in it's day, but it's sharp and uncomfortable. Buttons are great, but the D-pad is lacking compared to the SNES and especially N64, which I forgot to add has the best D-pad ever. That is all. That's my controller rant.>pic related>all my controllers a while ago
>>12624608I use the sega saturn m30 for 2d and wired 360 for 3d. wired 360 used to be my hands down favorite but the buttons are so stiff, any game that requires index finger mashing hurts my hands fastreally want some rhythm game peripheral or a proper fight stick but i travel too much and they're too big to carry
>>12624608The Sega Saturn controller suits my hands perfectly for a lot of classic games. Sure there are improvements I desire for it, like larger XYZ matching the size of ABC buttons, nothing has topped it for me.As for a controller I always wanted to use are those metal DDR pads. They are way too expensive and I don't have the room for them. I have to settle for those foldable pads, but they are nowhere near the robustness that matches the arcades.
>>12624608My personal favorite is the OG Xbox Duke. God this was such a girthy behemoth of a controller.
I really hate to play fighting games with analog, but the Playstation d pad sucks.Any recommend model?
Two NES rubber banded together is all I need.
it feels very light and hollow but it's pretty comfortable
this one kinda sucks from not having shoulder buttons but it's still great for my my long fingers and the num pad is practical. d-pad is model dependant, the clicky ones are grat for platformers and mushy ones for first/third person games.
this one is pretty underrated but i have good memories of it
>>12626453it really is comfortable. my only gripe with it was the face buttons kinda hurting my thumbs after a few hours. some people hate big pads for some reason but i wish modern ones were more like this.
