This is legitimately one of the worst games ever granted "hidden gem" status. The environments all look exactly the same, gray hallways appearing less detailed than a Dreamcast game, and the combat is absolutely abysmal. I can't believe Namco set out to make something as awesome as a first person full body awareness beat em up and ended up with this shit.
>>12624943which part filtered you?
>>12624982The part where the gameplay begins and you realize you're dealing with some Drake of the 99 Dragons level of pure dogshit.
Seriously I want to see someone post footage of an actual, real, live human being playing this mess and enjoying it. That's never happened before because it can't exist with a game this frustratingly bad. How do games like this even get released? You'd think the retarded developers would make sure the melee combat in their melee combat game is remotely functional.

>>12624943 Melee combat is very satisfying once you get an understanding of how to take fights. It gets better as you earn more powers, but it doesn't explain your full moveset, here's some stuff I found useful: >Running L+R -> RSliding uppercut, really strong.>L -> R -> LFast 3 hit combo, can replace the final hit with R for a knockdown. >Forward + LKick guys on the ground.>Left + spam LJust fucking bully people into the corner. I could go on. Look up a move guide and experiment. The gun play does suck, though.
>>12624943I can understand if some people don’t like it. It is a difficult game. I loved it tho, and I really enjoyed the story. It’s matrix inspired wackiness and I really need to do another playthrough because it’s been years. But yeah, it is a very tough game.
This is one of my favorite games, you are just a filtered retard. Stick to Halo or go back to some bing bing wahoo toddler shit, faggot
>>12624943Try not playing it on an emulator.

Okay, having beaten the game now I can say it's mostly great and I was just being filtered. Mostly. The opening really does make a horrible first impression and is just obnoxious, once you actually get the powers the game is designed around, then it really kicks ass. It's uncanny how much ass the start sucks in comparison though. The fight at the end against Solus was pure kino, damage sponge boss done right. Also once you know how the game works and you have your powers it's not that difficult, I beat the infamous white room at the end on my first try. Starting you off with no powers and weak makes the game seem like it's going to be a slog, it's quite the opposite once it gets going.

>>12626897>Went from hating the game to beating the final corridor gauntlet on the first try
>>12626935That's my style. Once you get the AoE, flying kick and slowmotion the game becomes pure kino. At that point it can throw everything it has at you, the player is more than powerful enough.
I loved the game; I think it has a Kusoge-esque style, though the controls are a bit too stiff. I finished it in 21 hours, while reviews and HowLongToBeat mention 8 hours of gameplay. What about you?
>>12627126>What about you?Close to 8 hours.

It was a financial failure that was abandoned by even the studio that made it for a reason
>>12624943The style of it was interesting, but that's literally all it has. Level design sucks, gameplay is stiff and awkward, enemies are absolutely retarded. It was Japan's one attempt at FPS games, before Capcom succeeded in being the only Japanese studio to successfully make an FPS game with RE7.
>>12630843This is not an fps retard
>>12630992It is, but it's okay, some people are nigger faggot retards like yourself, it's natural.
>>12630992It is tho
